Patient Management
Centralised patient profiles with full demographic data, medical history, allergies, insurance details, and treatment timelines — searchable in under 200ms.
A secure, cloud-based platform that streamlines patient management, appointment scheduling, electronic medical records, billing, and administrative workflows — purpose-built for hospitals and clinics that demand enterprise reliability.
Client and facility names have been anonymized to protect confidentiality.
The challenge: Patient records, scheduling, and billing lived in three disconnected systems across departments, forcing staff to re-enter the same patient data multiple times and making it difficult for administrators to get a single, reliable view of clinic operations — a common bottleneck for growing multi-department practices.
We designed and built a cloud-based Healthcare Management Platform that consolidates the operational complexity of multi-department hospitals into a single, cohesive digital system — from patient intake to final billing. The 12-week engagement covered discovery and architecture (2 weeks), core development (7 weeks), and clinical-load testing and rollout (3 weeks).
The platform serves hospital administrators, front-desk staff, doctors, and nursing teams. Each role has a tailored interface with access permissions appropriate to their responsibilities, keeping sensitive data secure while eliminating workflow bottlenecks.
Built on a Laravel REST API backend with a React frontend and deployed on AWS, the system handles 300+ daily appointments, maintains HIPAA-compliant data integrity, and delivers sub-200ms response times under concurrent clinical load.
The result: since launch, the platform has supported a 24% increase in patient volume without adding administrative headcount, and staff report a 4.9★ satisfaction rating with the new workflow.
Every feature was designed around how healthcare teams actually work — fast, accurate, and always secure.
Centralised patient profiles with full demographic data, medical history, allergies, insurance details, and treatment timelines — searchable in under 200ms.
Real-time slot booking with conflict detection, doctor availability sync, automated SMS and email reminders, and no-show tracking across all departments.
Structured EMR with lab results, imaging links, prescription history, consultation notes, and inter-department referrals — all timestamped and tamper-evident.
Departmental roster management covering schedules, leave tracking, specialisation profiles, workload distribution, and performance summaries for department heads.
Auto-generated invoices linked to treatment records, insurance claim workflows, payment tracking, and financial reporting with revenue-cycle analytics for administrators.
Digital prescriptions with dosage instructions, drug-interaction warnings, refill tracking, and direct integration with the patient EMR for continuous medication history.
Executive-level reporting on patient volume, appointment trends, departmental throughput, revenue cycles, and clinical outcomes — exportable to PDF and CSV.
Granular permission layers for Admins, Doctors, Nurses, and Front Desk — ensuring each role only accesses data relevant to their function, enforced at the API level.
Every technology was selected for performance, security, and long-term maintainability — including AWS's HIPAA-eligible services and S3 encryption at rest, which underpin the platform's compliance posture. The same architecture adapts to other regions' health-data frameworks, including the UK's NHS Digital DSPT and the EU's GDPR health-data provisions.
